About Savitri: Its Profound and Magnificent Significance (Volume Two)

In these transcribed talks given at Savitri Bhavan in 2013–2014, the author studies the theme of the Integral Yoga in the Canto “The Yoga of the King: The Yoga of the Soul’s Release”. References to Aswapati’s journey reflect experiences common to Sri Aurobindo’s own yoga. Some of the highlights of these talks include descriptions of the opening of the psychic being and the impact that has on the outer parts of the being, and the descent of the higher planes of consciousness, such as inspiration and intuition. In addition, ideas and concepts drawn from the Vedas, Upanishads, and Sri Aurobindo’s letters enhance the reader’s understanding of the poem.
