HISTORY

SABDA's selection of titles under 'History', by authors almost all of whom are or were resident at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, covers a very wide span of topics. This section features several books by K. D. Sethna that examine historical issues such as the chronology of early Middle Eastern history, the Aryan invasion of India, the origins of early Christianity, and debates on several geographical and chronological themes in ancient Indian history.

A short biography, descriptions of significant events in the lives of personalities close to Sri Aurobindo, and Sri Aurobindo's own role in a few historical events are also vignetted in other books. One title highlights issues in modern Indian history.
