Several of the books introduced in this issue bring us the joys of the past with happy additions. Prayers of the Mother is a collection of the 123 known translations of the Mother’s prayers, originally written in French, that were either translated solely or in part by Sri Aurobindo, or were translated by disciples and then closely revised by Sri Aurobindo. Fifty-eight of these prayers are published here for the first time.
The eight volumes of the Collected Works of Nolini Kanta Gupta were originally published between 1970 and 1979. In recent years, the first two volumes were re-issued including additional material. The third volume, The Yoga of Sri Aurobindo: Essays on Spiritual Life has recently come out. Comprising short essays that deal with different aspects of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy and Yoga, this new edition also includes seven writings and talks that were not part of the previous edition of his Collected Works.
The fourth and final volume of Talks by Nirodbaran covers the period from December 1971 through September 1972. Readers will recall that the talks were held initially for the students of the Ashram school to familiarise them with aspects of Sri Aurobindo’s life and work, but became so popular that many others flocked to hear these reminiscences by Nirodbaran and guest speakers, who spoke on various aspects of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy or their own recollections of life in the Ashram.
Another new publication explores an important writing of Sri Aurobindo. The Future Poetry & the Evolution of Consciousness is an academic study that delves into Sri Aurobindo’s poetics in disciplines such as literature, linguistics, philosophy, and literary and critical theory. Sri Aurobindo’s theory of poetics, his conception of the ideal spirit of poetry, and mantra as the highest form of poetic thought and expression are found in his formative work, The Future Poetry.
Sri Aurobindo and the Mother on India and Her Future is a USB Media Card, a music video of songs and hymns in Sanskrit with recitation in English from the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. The musical composition is by Shobha Mitra.
Last on our list of new publications is Curly Wee, a cartoon series that appeared daily in the Irish Independent from 1937 until the late 1950s and was syndicated worldwide. According to Tara Jauhar and Nirodbaran, Sri Aurobindo enjoyed reading the adventures of the main character Curly Wee and his band of friends. There are twelve issues available, each telling a different story from the celebrated strip.

| Russian translation of The Mother Description of content for original work: These inspirational essays by Sri Aurobindo form a powerful statement of the true attitude to be taken by a sadhak of the Integral Yoga: one of a complete and dynamic surrender to the Mother. They describe the triple movement of aspiration, rejection, and surrender, the conditions for a true faith and sincerity, the irresistible power of the Divine Mother's grace, the need to reconquer the money-force for the Mother's work, and the joy of a perfect instrumentality through selfless work, surmounting the demands of the ego. The final piece describes the four great powers and personalities of the Divine Mother.
